As part of the server maintenance that's been ongoing since last weekend, the world maps had been taken temporarily offline. Rather than just bringing back DynMap, we have something new for you. Introducing: BlueMap!

This update has two parts: new hardware and a new Minecraft version! Welcome to Minecraft 26.1.

Some heavy server maintenance will happen this weekend, making the game servers unavailable for several hours at least. This will involve two major tasks:

• Everything will be moved to a new, more powerful dedicated server.
• We will update to Minecraft 26.1.

The work is planned to begin on Saturday morning. It's hard to estimate how long this will take. While the target is to have the game servers up and running to some level by the end of the day, the work could spill over to Sunday depending on how things go.

Minecraft 26.2 was released earlier this week, and we've now added support for it. This means you can now join the network using the latest version of the game, but the game servers are still running 1.21.11 at the moment. This is also the version you should keep using for the best results.

A proper servers update is in the planning stages, keep an eye on this space for more news!

"Hey, anyone in Asphodel right now?"

A popular question to be sure, and one that can be easily answered with the /anyone command! It tells you if any of the science areas or regenerating structures are currently occupied, so you can wait until they're cleared to make your own runs.

Newly added today is the ability to run the command from any of the survival worlds, plus the lobby for good measure! With the areas getting moved to Ur, this lets you do a quick check from your home or anywhere that you happen to have your latest projects in.

Easter is upon us and Peter Cottontail has a message for you!

It has been 1,460 days since I have seen you last. The kids have grown up quite a bit and have been exploring the island. They have found something interesting. It seems to be a ravine with a door on the inside.

I have been meaning to reach out and see if you'd be interested in taking a look around. We tried to venture inside, but things were...weird to say the least. The kids have taken a liking to this and have used their shells to set up a hunt for you.

If you are up for exploring, feel free to stop by my residence in the Creeper's Citadel and look for the 2026 event button to take the ship over to the ravine entrance. Hope to see you soon!

Minecraft 26.1 was released last Tuesday, and we've added support for it just now. This means you can now join the network using the latest version of the game, but the game servers are still running 1.21.11 at the moment. This is also the version you should keep using for the best results.

Keep an eye on this space to know when the actual version update will happen!

February has been a busy month and this update comes with new sections related to our newest additions. I strongly recommend that you read through to make sure you don't miss on anything! This month covers:

We even have a brand new Cimmeria world, with fresh biomes waiting to be explored.

But wait, what's this about the end of the world in old Cimmeria...?

The Citadel with all of its dependencies, including Moosemart, have been moved to the new world of Ur. This central location makes it more convenient to visit for players of all worlds and will let us deal with future updates more easily. To access it, use the new Ur portal in the lobby!

The post office has also been expanded, with all storage chests now being doubled. Several chests had to be moved around to accommodate the change, so be on the lookout for your new spot!

By player request, I've added support for Distant Horizons server-side.

For those unfamiliar, the Distant Horizons mod runs on your client and displays far away chunks even when they're not actively loaded, expanding how far you can see the scenery. The news preview is me looking at Central from my base, which is located almost 3000 blocks away!

This year marks the 5th anniversary of the launch of the Guildhalls! Together we have achieved so much and there were plans for great celebrations this year, but a crisis has occurred and we need your help. You may not be aware of this, but the Guilds long predate the Guildhalls themselves. Much of our history has been lost to us, and there is much we don’t understand. Behind the scenes the Guilds are run by a powerful computer. Usually it handles the routine stuff — goals, rewards, promotions — but in recent months it has been issuing dire warnings about “The Eternal Balance”, “Seal Integrity” and “the End of the World”. Despite our best efforts, we have been unable to discover what this means.

This is where we need you. Beneath Laurasia Guildhall lie the Catacombs, an ancient part of the Guilds predating the Guildhall itself. It’s overrun by monsters, and I do not have the strength to delve far into them myself, but I believe the answers we seek must be down there somewhere. Will you help us? Great rewards await the successful, and maybe you’ll save the world.

This is merely the day after the big update, but still, we've got some updates on the monthly rotation. The big one is for the Guilds, which celebrate their fifth anniversary this month! The mark the occasion, the token rewards are DOUBLED this round!
