Science Fest!
From SorathePumpking

Come one, come all! Science Fest is here!

With the never-ending code rewrites that are happening in Minecraft, your beloved attractions have been closed for quite some time. Well, we have made you a small rendition to satiate your hunger for Science. Whether you are new to Science or a returning enthusiast, there is stuff for everyone!

To commemorate this opening, the Horsemen are hosting a building contest in the surroundings of this miniature science park!

To get to Science Fest:
Nether: North Mainline Rail -> String Theory -> Floor 3 Back left corner
Events Night: TARDIS -> Additional Attractions -> Down the stairs until you see Science Fest with a jack-o-lantern head on the top
Overworld: North Transcontinental Line -> Towards Sanctum

These minature science areas allow you to collect shards that can be traded in for some staple items and many consumables from the previous science areas, before Mojang's most recent slew of changes took them offline. These items can be found on the top floor of the Turn-in Area within these chests, alongside the amount of currency needed for each item (Items marked with a button are limited to one item per player).

The areas we have included in this event are:

  • The Lost Woods
  • Wychwood
  • Snowhead
  • Shattered Sands

and since it was missed this year:

  • Chinese New Year!

Just like in the real version of Science, you must complete the areas in the right order to progress to the next. So you must complete:

  • The Lost Woods to get into Wychwood
  • Wychwood to get into Snowhead
  • Snowhead to get into Shattered Sands

In order to complete an area, you must get the completion certificates, located near the entrance into the area itself.

As our NPC traders are especially prone to breaking between versions, to get these items you'll need to name a Shulker Box, fill it with the amount and type of currency needed for your item (see above list or display chests in the turn-in area), and use a book and quill to provide a list of the items you'd like. Place your shulker within one of the chests in the turn-in area, and then type @horseman in the chat and include the number of your chest, to alert someone of a pending turn-in.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A POST OFFICE BOX located in the Creeper Citadel. We will be placing your items in your post office box once the request has been filled. Please note: you may fill your shulker with multiple shards (as long as the items you are requesting will fit within the confines of the shulker) and areas.

You may purchase a shulker and book and quill from the Utility Vendor (-3264, 64, -9423) located in front of Chinese New Year.

Not interested in combat? Here for the building contest? No worries. We have a variety of building plots across the island of various shapes and sizes!

Each participant can claim up to 3 plots total, and each plot has a specific theme that applies to it, with some plots sharing themes and some being completely independant. Magnenta blocks outline a spot on each plot that lists out the plot's number, theme, and if it's currently claimed or not.

Want to change a biome or try something fancy on your plot? Need to adjust the size or shape of the plot? Reach out to @horsemen and pass it by the event runners to see if they'll allow it and/or assist!

Want to claim two plots right next to each other? Reach out to the @horseman and we can combine the plots for you; however, the combined area must follow the themes of each included plot.

Plots can also be worked on by a team of players. All team members will receive prizes equally; plots claimed by a team would count as 1 plot claimed towards the 3 total you could have for everyone involved.

Please note however, that after the event, the cyan plot markers will be removed.
