A special communication from Coneva!
My fellow Test Subjects, it is time for a new experiment.
Welcome to the first Creeper’s Lab Story Roleplay.
Many Years ago, two siblings were thrust from their ancestral home due to the devastating wars between the Ghasts and the Piglins. Though a volatile land of fire and lava, the siblings had called it home… Until the day they were forced through a portal into a new world to seek refuge until they could safely return. But, alas, the portal was destroyed in a crushing blow to the Piglins, as the battles raged on, cutting the siblings off from their homeland entirely.
Though they tried, over and over, the pair could not replicate the magic that had brought them to this strange land. So, they made the decision to start anew- to tame this new world and make it theirs.
But this world, green and wet, caused a rift to develop between the siblings- for one of them missed their home and sought to recreate what was lost in the dry heat and danger found in the deserts and badlands; while the other was enchanted by the cool relief offered by the vast, blue oceans which covered this world, and desired to create a new civilization.
The siblings argued endlessly over their growing differences, until finally, unable to reconcile, they parted ways in anger, each vowing to outdo the other, or die trying.
- Two civilizations at war, each trying to be bigger and better than the other.
Meanwhile, the hardy mountainfolk, well established in their homes high in the, often snowy, mountains, had finally established a trade agreement with the peaceful plainsmen far to the East, securing access to items that had been, until now, rare and hard to obtain. The agreement would be mutually beneficial, but due to the great distance between their cities, the two societies decided to build a road to safely connect them.
This wouldn’t seem a hard task, however, the shortest route between them would cross the turbulent domains of the desert and ocean peoples.
- Two civilizations at peace trying to establish a safe trade road – will it work? Can they keep the peace and not take sides?
Now it is up to you- will you carry on the mission of your people? Or will you go rogue? Will you join the world and all realms in peace? Or bring it all to ruin?
Gameplay
When you spawn in, you will make a choice of your home civilization. There you will decide, along with the other members who join you, how you wish to proceed in this game. The backstory provides a general idea of your mission, and your goal is to bring your civilization to greatness! How will this be done? That is up to you- and your team.
There is no Nether and no End. Each civilization starts with items specific to their society. The world is mostly wild, however, and plenty of things can be found exploring, or trading, or looting.
Considering that two civilizations are at war, PVP will be on; but this is a TEAM gameplay, so if you decide to go rogue, remember that you could earn enemies, perhaps a whole city of them; or you could be exiled from your home city, forced to make due in the wilds. Merit point benefits will not work here.
You are encouraged to communicate with your team about your plans outside of the game. You can choose to elect a leader who can direct actions, or work together without one, or even just.. take over (but keep in mind that loyalties can change, and you could end up the sole member of that society if your subjects disapprove).
You will need to name your realm, and you can expand into multiple cities if you choose. Uniforms, insignia and character are yours to create… or not.
There will be weekly streams of gameplay- which will be announced several days beforehand, and you can participate if you would like. (This could involve some partial scripting, just for funsies!)
I’m excited to try this new game with you all and I hope you’ll join me for some live action stories!
Head to Kenorland and think well on which of the four groups you wish to join - there is no going back if you change your mind!
The Guilds have already been updated with new challenges; the wiki will follow later. The Hunter's Lodge and the Horsemen Quests also have new targets! As always, you can check out the wiki page on Monthly Challenges to have the list of what's available.
