Minecraft 1.8.2 has been released today by Mojang, fixing several game bugs. This new version is compatible with both 1.8 and 1.8.1, so you're free to update at your convenience!
UPDATE: 1.8.3 was released as a bug fix, and is also compatible. It's recommended that you skip 1.8.2 and use this one instead.

Seeing as how we don't even have an updated MCP for 1.8.1, I think I'll hold off since it's going to be ages for Mods to get updated. I feel sorry for the Optifine creator through, he always pushes his way thru it and releases updates without MCP. Probably why it's one of the few mods I've supported

When I went to upgrade to 1.8.2, noticed 1.8.3 available! Any word on whether we can use that one?

I was just about to edit my news post! 1.8.3 is a quick bug fix, it's recommended that you skip 1.8.2 entirely and move over to that one instead.
