The server has been down for several hours at least, and I've got no explanation yet to explain this situation. I'm hoping to see it resolved soon.
UPDATE: 24 hours in, I got word from my host that there is a possible Minecraft/Bukkit exploit affecting several of their customers as well as other server providers. They need to go through servers one by one to check on them, which means that this could take more time still.
UPDATE 2: Well, crud. We've been hit harder than expected, and I'll need to do a full rebuild of the server from backups. This will take me several hours, and I'm hoping (but not promising) to have it up and running again tonight. I'll make a new post here once it's fixed. Thank you for your patience.
UPDATE 3: I've got most of the files ready to go; unfortunately, uploading the map itself will take a few hours. This means that, barring any unexpected problems, the server will be back online on Tuesday night.

well, at least there's one explanation as to why i can't connect. but there's still the question as to why i can't seem to connect to any servers. keeps giving me the error of "can't reach server" even live ones. i forced updated my minecraft to see if that would fix it, uninstalled optifine and another mod that i use, still didn't fix that and i have been getting randomly kicked from the server because of connection issues since at least friday. so im not sure whats up.
