Tasmantis retirement, Cimmeria reboot

By Doctacosa, 26 January 2019 at 17:41 [Link]

Tasmantis was introduced after Minecraft 1.13 was released, first as a test platform to see when the upgrade would be feasible, then as a resource world for people to grab the new ocean elements in a convenient setting. Most players have already accomplished that, so I'll be retiring the server at the end of February. If you have any supplies left in there, or anything else that you wanted to gather, please be sure to get it done before then!

Cimmeria is our starter world for new players who want to sample the Creeper's Lab experience before having to register or travel long distances. Unfortunately, it suffers from a recurrent problem of chunk corruption, where various chunks have swapped position apparently at random. There is no clean fix, and since about no established player has anything significant in the world, I've decided to reboot it entirely. I've found a new seed with a nice variety of biomes, including a mix of different ocean types, so this will be a good place to dive underwater once Tasmantis is gone. This will happen at the same time, as the end of February. The spawn town, Aditus, will be transferred to the new world, but nothing else.

To summarize, what you need to do:
1- Get any supplies that you want out of Tasmantis.
2- Get any supplies that you might have out of Cimmeria. If you have a structure away from spawn that you would like to see moved to the new world, please get in touch with me!
