Bloodstone survivors village contest results!
The contestants had to create a build roughly 12x12 in size that'd be part of a survivor's village, as a sequel of sorts to Stone Ville The entries are listed below from the highest to the lowest score.
Coneva, Primagen and Skreelink went from entry to entry and judged them on how well they stuck to the theme and how well they looked.
This contest ran from 2016-10-01 to 2016-10-31.
Coneva: Spiderwebs were an interesting touch. Love the chimney! Good mix of blocks. Simple and fitting.
Primagen: Loved the mixed use of materials, shelves were a nice touch. What purple armored corpse was the armor scavenged from? Anyone seen media lately?
Coneva: Love the snack shop idea. Very simple, and great use of mixed materials for a solid construction.
Primagen: Loved the cold room down below for meat storage. Could have used some more items one might have scavenged. I hope Doc didn't turn cannibal to fill that freezer....
Coneva: The eclectic use of different blocks seems to fit the theme (imo). Really nice detail all around; love the lower room.
Primagen: The boarded up walls were a very nice touch. A bit spacious, a lot of gatherings must go on here. Loved the garden that you would have to grow your own food in after a disaster.
Coneva: I love the detail and hostel/community center idea... the hidden garden, bathrooms, etc. It's a bit fancier in places than I would expect a hand-built construction to be, but overall great use of varied stone, and nice look. The entry path was unfinished though...
Primagen: Liked the hay floors and sword to protect from other scavengers, a bit spacious underneath for post apocalyptic. I would definitely barter to stay here until I scavenged up my own place.
Coneva: Beautiful! ...But maybe a bit fancy/extensive for a rebuilt/salvaged building? Really a nice refuge space, but not sure it fit the theme idea 100%.
Primagen: Loved the small spaces and use of the water like one might need to do after an apocalypse. I would have used a few more materials in this build. Can I swim here after scavenging to wash the dirt off?
Coneva: Super cute! Not quite the theme idea I think, though. Good use of stones/blocks in spite of that. Lapis blocks are pretty.
Primagen: Gas business doesnt seem to be booming after the apocalypse. I think this build could have been more of a home and less of an abandoned business. Definitely looks like the retail world didn't serve Hoku well. Hope MountainBoy shares his food!
Coneva: Couldn't get in at first. Nice use of varied building material but perhaps seems more 'unfinished/deconstructed' than the goal was. I wasn't sure what everything's purpose was, and it was all a bit chaotic.
Primagen: Very large building for a post apocalypse. Feels like I have walked into an apartment that someone has taken up residence in. I would have gone smaller on this as those materials would have taken a long time to scavenge. Loved the machinery(redstone) that seems to be re purposed towards making life a bit more bearable in this cruel world.
These entries are not officially part of the contest, either because they were built by players involved in running the contest or people who have willingly removed themselves from the competition.
Primagen: Absolutely loved the detail in this build. The "curtain" doors is exactly what might serve as doors. This build looks like something that I would expect to find in a post apocalyptic world.
